Black Fault

About this work

A deep black field cuts diagonally through white and soft grey, edged by heavy textured passages of gold leaf and smaller metallic marks. The sharp contrast gives the square composition weight and a controlled sense of movement. It suits a dark-panelled lounge, private office, or formal sitting room. This piece is hand-painted in acrylic and oil with gold leaf on 100% cotton canvas, stretched over an internal wood stretcher. An external pine-wood frame is available as an optional add-on. - Material: 100% cotton canvas - Medium: acrylic, oil, and gold leaf - Finish: hand-painted - Frame: internal wood stretcher included; external pine-wood frame optional (add-on)
