Gilded Midline

About this work

A dense horizontal band of textured gold leaf crosses a field of layered grey and white brushwork, creating a clear division through the centre of the canvas. The metallic surface gives the piece depth under changing light while keeping the overall palette restrained for a dining room, lounge, or large hallway. This piece is hand-painted in acrylic and oil with gold leaf on 100% cotton canvas, stretched over an internal wood stretcher. An external pine-wood frame is available as an optional add-on. - Material: 100% cotton canvas - Medium: acrylic, oil, and gold leaf - Finish: hand-painted - Frame: internal wood stretcher included; external pine-wood frame optional (add-on)
