Gilded Roots

About this work

A white tree spreads across the canvas, its branches extending into a pale upper field while exposed roots branch through a broad ground of gold leaf below. The contrast between white relief-like lines and metallic gold gives the piece a calm, architectural quality for a refined hallway, bedroom, or console wall. This piece is hand-painted in acrylic and oil with gold leaf on 100% cotton canvas, stretched over an internal wood stretcher. An external pine-wood frame is available as an optional add-on. - Material: 100% cotton canvas - Medium: acrylic, oil, and gold leaf - Finish: hand-painted - Frame: internal wood stretcher included; external pine-wood frame optional (add-on)
